Electrical Installation Condition Reports for homeowners, landlords and letting agents. Fixed prices by property size, carried out by Mark and the team and written up properly.

An EICR is a thorough inspection and test of the fixed wiring in a property: the consumer unit, circuits, sockets, switches, lighting and earthing. It tells you whether the installation is safe to keep using.

Last inspected 2019, due again 2024. If the label on your board looks like this, you are overdue.
This Crabtree consumer unit shows the standard IET wiring regulations inspection notice with circuit schedule. Contact Mark to book an inspection before your certificate expires.
Landlords in England are legally required to have the electrics inspected and tested at least every five years, and at change of tenancy where applicable. See the landlord section below.
A report gives buyers confidence and helps you budget for any work before you complete. It is especially worth doing on older houses around Worcester and Malvern.
Homeowners are usually advised to have an EICR every ten years. If you cannot remember the last one, or the fuse box looks old, it is due.
Trips, warm sockets, flickering lights or damage after a leak are all good reasons to have the wiring checked properly.
Under the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020, landlords must have the electrical installation inspected and tested by a qualified person at least every five years, and at change of tenancy where applicable.
Existing tenants need a copy within 28 days of the inspection, and new tenants before they move in.
Your local authority can ask for a copy, which must be provided within 7 days.
Remedial work must be done within 28 days, or sooner if the report says so, with written confirmation to your tenant and the council.
We arrange access with tenants or your agent, send the report by email and can quote for any remedial work at the same time.

Distribution board work carried out by Mark and the team.
Condition, protective devices, RCD operation and labelling.
Main earth and bonding to gas and water services checked and measured.
Continuity, insulation resistance, polarity and earth fault loop impedance on each circuit.
A visual check of a representative sample for damage, overheating and wear.
Extra checks in locations with water and on any outdoor circuits.
A full EICR with every observation coded, sent to you, your agent or both. Any C1 danger is made safe on the day.
One fixed price based on the number of bedrooms. No extra charge for the report or for sending copies to your tenant or agent.
Remedial work found during the inspection is quoted separately, and only carried out with your agreement.
Simple to arrange, whether you live in the property or let it out.
Call Mark or send the form with the postcode and number of bedrooms. Landlords and agents, include tenant access details.
Mark and the team carry out the inspection and testing on an agreed day, usually within a few hours.
You receive the written EICR. If anything needs attention, you get a clear fixed price to put it right.

“Would not hesitate to recommend Mark to anybody. I contacted him for a quote, which he responded to quickly and then when I contacted him again to say the light fitting had arrived for him to fit, he was quick to organise a time to come around and do the work. Friendly, efficient and at a reasonable price as well. I'm really pleased with my new kitchen light, so thank you!”
